My Platform
North Carolina deserves leaders who are present and loud about their values. I’m running because silence isn’t service we need representatives who show up, listen, and speak clearly when our values are on the line. Building a stronger Democratic Party starts with being rooted in community, showing up everywhere, and being honest about what we stand for.
These are the issues that guide my work.
-
Healthcare is personal to me. I work in nonprofit healthcare, and I see every day how policy decisions affect real people - patients, caregivers, and aging adults trying to navigate systems that are too often complicated or out of reach.
I believe we need to:
Protect access to affordable, quality healthcare, including reproductive and mental health care
Support caregivers and aging adults who are holding families together
Strengthen rural healthcare so people aren’t forced to drive hours for basic care
Protect Medicaid and ensure it continues to serve the people who rely on it, especially children, seniors, people with disabilities, and rural communities
Too many rural hospitals and clinics are under pressure, understaffed, or at risk of closing. Our communities deserve better. Where you live shouldn’t determine whether you can get care when you need it.
-
Public education runs in my family. My grandparents and sister were public school teachers, and I’ve seen firsthand the commitment it takes to serve students and communities.
I will fight for:
Fully funded public schools
Fair pay and respect for educators
Career and technical education options that prepare students for good jobs
Strong schools are the backbone of strong communities.
-
Rural North Carolina matters. Too often, policy decisions are made without listening to the people most affected.
I support:
Reliable broadband so students can learn and families can access telehealth
Safe roads, bridges, and infrastructure
Protecting rural schools and healthcare services
Rural communities shouldn’t have to fight to be seen or heard.
-
Across North Carolina, we’ve seen real threats to values many of us share - from access to healthcare and reproductive freedom to policies that target immigrants and make communities less safe.
I believe our job as leaders is to protect people, not score political points. That means:
Standing up for immigrant families and their right to live without fear
Defending basic rights and dignity for everyone
Being clear, outspoken and consistent about what we stand for
Progressive values don’t matter if we won’t defend them publicly and in partnership with the people most affected.
-
Families in our community are feeling the squeeze. Whether it’s healthcare costs, housing, property taxes, or everyday expenses, people shouldn’t be pushed out of the places they call home.
I believe we need to:
Keep healthcare affordable and accessible
Support housing options that people can actually afford
Be mindful of how taxes and fees impact families and seniors
Affordability isn’t one issue, it touches everything.
-
I’m also running because I believe we need a stronger, more effective Democratic Party across North Carolina - one that shows up everywhere, not just during elections.
That means:
Being present in communities year-round
Listening before talking
Speaking clearly, and courageously about our values and priorities
That’s how we turn shared values into real power across North Carolina.

Everything I bring to this race comes from community work, not political tradition. I believe leadership should be steady, compassionate, and unafraid to speak up when it matters. This campaign is powered entirely by grassroots supporters, not PAC money, because accountability should run to the people you represent.
Public office isn’t something you’re entitled to - it’s something you earn every day by showing up, listening, and doing the work. I’m running because I care deeply about this place, the people who live here, and the future we’re building together.
